Arrive at Jammu Tawi railway station or Jammu airport. Met by our representative and driven by private cab to Katra (~50 km, 1.5 hrs) — the base town for Vaishno Devi yatra. Check in to your hotel, lunch, and rest. Evening visit to local markets for yatra essentials (stick, raincoat, prasad). Briefing about the yatra route. Overnight in Katra.
Early morning, collect your yatra slip (RFID card) from the Yatra Registration Counter. Begin the 12 km uphill yatra to Bhawan via the old route or the new track. Options available: trek on foot, pony ride, palki, battery car (Ardhkuwari–Bhawan), or helicopter (Katra–Sanjichhat then short trek). Have darshan of Mata, visit Bhairon Baba temple (further 2 km uphill, recommended for completion of yatra). Return to Katra by evening. Overnight in Katra.
A well-deserved rest day after the yatra. Optional excursions: Shiv Khori cave temple, Nau Devi temple, or local sightseeing around Katra (Baba Dhansar, Aghar Jitto). Or simply relax at the hotel. Overnight in Katra.
Drive to the hill station of Patnitop (~110 km, 3 hrs). Picturesque views, walks through the cedar forest, and lunch at a hilltop café. Continue to Sanasar — a quieter alpine bowl with pony rides and paragliding (seasonal). Return to Katra in the evening. Overnight in Katra.
Drive to Srinagar (~270 km, 7–8 hrs via NH-44, scenic mountain pass via Banihal/Qazigund). En-route lunch stop. Arrive in Srinagar and check in to your houseboat on Dal Lake. Evening shikara ride and dinner on the houseboat. Overnight in Srinagar. If skipping the Kashmir extension, return to Jammu and check into a hotel.
Full day in Srinagar. Visit the Mughal Gardens — Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, Chashme Shahi — Shankaracharya Temple, and the Hazratbal Shrine. Evening at leisure on Dal Lake. Overnight on houseboat.
Choose between a day-trip to Gulmarg (gondola, meadows) or Pahalgam (Betaab & Aru valleys). Return to Srinagar by evening. Overnight on houseboat.
After breakfast, last-minute shopping in Lal Chowk (pashmina, saffron, walnut wood). Transfer to Srinagar airport for your onward flight. End of services with cherished memories.
